Wait staff with less than one year of VERIFIABLE and acceptable fine dining or banquet service experience:
Service Is Us, Inc (SIU), established in 1989, is an equal opportunity employer, specializing in providing professional wait staff, bartenders, and kitchen staff to the Hospitality Industry. Our customers include: catering companies, corporate dining rooms, hotels, and private residences. SIU manages many of its customers' parties, creating the need for individuals with supervisory experience.
SIU's reputation is built on our employees' performance, professional appearance, attitude, and punctuality. We are also preferred due to our superior office management.
Shifts vary in report time and location as ordered by the client. Work is distributed based on the availability of the employee to ordered shifts. Shifts vary, often there are as many day as evening shifts. Saturday night is generally our busiest time slot. Most of our employees are part-time, working 15-20 hours per week, however some can work up to 40 hours per week. There is no guarantee on the amount of hours that will be available for you to work. Amount of shifts depend on amount of orders.
Persons hired by SIU are employees of SIU, not independent contractors. SIU deducts the required payroll taxes from its employees' earnings. SIU carries all the insurance required by law. There are no sign-up fees, union initiation fees or dues. Your only expense will be your uniform, unless you already own one. Recommendations will be offered as where to purchase the required uniform(s).
Employees are paid on an hourly basis. The rate of pay will be listed below. Each shift is guaranteed to last at least four hours. For shifts lasting less than four hours, SIU will still pay the four-hour minimum if the employee reported on time. Morning shifts usually last 4-5 hours while evening shifts may last 6-8 hours. These are approximations; each shift will vary and changes will occur according to the client's specific needs.
The following are requirements to be considered for ALL positions with SIU:
1. Successfully interview
2. Be a minimum of 21 years of age
3. Attend a call back meeting that further assesses each candidate.
